Cop's Lights Spey

Since JD Jones spoke about a 1950 Ford with a light on top, I thought is appropriate to post this fly I call the "Cop's Light" in honor of the re and blue lights used on patrol cars these days. This is a fly I've been using for the last 7 years, which is very effective during late fall and winter steelhead fishing in gin-clear water.

Dressing:

thread: Purple 8/0
tag: oval gold
body: bright medium blue (royal blue) dubbing
rib: oval gold
hackle: red spey feather
throat: dyed medium blue guinea
wing: 2 dyed scarlet G.P. rump feathers layed flat
