Dble Haul Sounds good Adrian. I know you'll be on the Cape next week, but I'll keep you in mind for July.

The great part is that the launch is only five minutes from my house. Very close for after work sorties so I can keep exploring.

CT River smallmouth bite is on

Finally, after the winter we experienced, the smallmouth bite is on in reliable fashion on the CT River. And topwater to boot.

I spent the last three hours of daylight yesterday on the river. I was initially targeting stripers, but after only marking a few fish with no hookups I went to some rocky structure and started to call up some smallies to the top. They were not huge (12-14"), but provided consistent action for the last hour of daylight.

It felt awfully good...the water temps are still only about 61. It will only get better, and there's plenty more river to explore.
