Wow, this one sorta slipped by unnoticed ....
April 26/27 is good for me I will be fishing from the yak again. As I recall, last year felt like July that week-end. The following Wednesday we were in the 30s down in New York.
Hey Quentin CT State needs your $$$ - come on down Then you can come and try for monster Carp at a spot I know on the Housy. If you do decide to fish Enfield for stripers - let me know. I'm thinking that it could be Spey rod country up there

To the artist formerly known as Cookie Eater :hehe: :
Where is the pike clave going to be held? Somewhere in the backwoods of CT I presume? How important is it to have a boat for this venture? I have a johnboat with a troller that might be able to handle a couple more hours of abuse...
Sounds like fun - I'll be keeping an eye on this one!

Pike Clave Update
The event will be held the weekend of April 26 and 27. We can fish both days if there is enough interest, and folks are welcome to crash at my place if they'd like to. Just leave a few flies behind.
It also looks like I'll be owning a vessel that's a bit more significant than the john boat.....I hope to have it all nice and legal by the time of the clave. If that's the case, then this is a whole new ball game, with access to even more areas.
If you're coming from out of state, you can purchase an out of state liscense directly from the Connecticut DEP via their website. Let me know if you need more info.
List let this thread be the running roster, and then we can iron out finer details via PM and telephone.
