Making light of the cold...
Here's a press blurb sent to me from Bill in Seattle, in response to my complaints that he was steelheading while I was freezing...

In Rochester, N.Y., two youngsters testing whether it was cold enough to freeze their tongues to metal confirmed their theory.
One of the boys managed to free himself from the light pole, but the other needed warmed saline solution applied by paramedics to remove his tongue.
"Both of them were a little sore,” said Darrell
Grigg, a spokesman for Rural/Metro Medical Services.
“They had bruised egos and tongues, but everything
else was intact.”
