prouse I read a post from just the other day on the Washing Flyfishing site that somebody was still catching (bright!~?) chums as late as this past weekend! Any confirmation???

Olyfly As far as I know the run last at least through January. Not sure how much into February though. I've been asking around, and have not come up with much info on this one yet. Clearly is a boat fishing program as foot access is almost nil down at the mouth due to the wildlife refuge and private lands. Best launch appears to be at the mouth of McCalister Creek & I hear you need to keep an eye on the tides so you don't get stranded in the mud flats. ... could be a long wait for the tide to come back in...
I'm still hoping to give it a try assuming my free time lines up with decent weather. will post results if it works out...

Surf_Candy what's the access like at the mouth? have not fished it, itching for some more chum action in the salt flats.

thanks

How long does this run last?

I have heard that this Chum run can last into late Jan/early Feb. Any confirmation?

The chum run ought to be kicking into gear here soon. Anyone have much luck intercepting them in the salt? Do they linger much in the delta or jet up the river once they get there?
