I'm a member of the US Coast Guard so that explains the travel. It's a nice life 3-4 years fishing a location and then choosing a new one. My wife has even came to accept that fishing is a major concern when picking a new billet .
I have to say that out of all of them Alaska is definatly the best. I learned more about fishing and tying up there than anywhere else.

Grew up in Eastern West Virginia, moved to VA Beach (Stripers), let VA for CA, Petaluma in North California (Salmon and Trout), on to Kodiak Alaska (all the greats), fait moved me to New Orleans were I'm learning warm saltwater. I've caught a few specks and reds but nothing spectacular.
Looking forward to learning!
