Dave, Mike's a sponsor here a link to his website: http://www.old-salt.com
Eddie, Your probably right, I guess Mike will be supplying the gear. I guess my question should have been. Can I handle one of these power packed fish?

|Eddie||BFT on a 10wt.? What does Mike say? I'm sure that he will have all the gear you need for BFT. A ten seems...a little light.|

Jim - can you e-mail me Old Salt's number - I assume he provides guide service. You guys got my rod hand twitching with all this talk of albies and blue fin tunnie. The only way I am going to get one is set up a trip with a guide. I am open to taking off any day over the next two weeks.
Good luck to ya - hope you hook up with a blue fin.

BBT on a 10wt?
It's looking like I'll be chasing baby bluefin tuna next week. I've got a lampson lightspeed 4.5 that I think the drag and capacity is fine. My 10wt is a penn gold medal which is a moderate action. Thoughts on landing a 30lb'r on this tackle? I figure I can go with a 325grain to get a decent cast off, or Should I be throwing a clear line to these guys? How about suggestions for flies? I was originally going for albies with Mike from Old Salt but he said there's so many tuna out there we might as well try for them instead.
