Mattb I saw very little bait in the water, there were some silversides(I think) around, but not a lot of them. There were also some partially dried out very small(< 1") baby bunker on a couple of the rocks.

Dble Haul Matt- Did you see any bait, and if so what was it?

In reference to the parking situation, I've never seen anyone ticketed for parking diagonally. It seems that if the first few cars there are set up that way, the rest follow.

West Wall Saturday

I spent about 6 hours on the west wall in RI on saturday with a couple of schoolies to show for my effort. I picked up the two bass before sunrise, the first hooked himself while I was stretching the line, and I hooked the second a couple minutes later.

There were plenty of small tailor sized blues around, but I didn't want to retie with wire, so I kept my fly out of the water when they came through.

I didn't see any bonito-looking activity, and none of the boats I could see cruising around seemed to be doing anything either. I saw 3 other flyfishermen on the jetty and one in a kayak, none of them did anything that I saw. There were plenty of scup fishermen around though, so parking was tight.

A question on parking there: The signs clearly say paralell parking only, but when I got there there were a few cars already parked diagonally, so I just went with that and didn't have any problems. Do they ever enforce the paralell only rules there?

Thanks to Quentin for the directions!

-Matt
