pmflyfisher SHHHH, we don't want to talk about that too much. when you add Ontario, I would hate to see the total available fresh water fishery of lakes and rivers, etc.... in the GL region. It is just top much to comprehend and definitely cannot be covered in one life time. Ontario DNR says estimates 250K of inland lakes they just say countless creeks and rivers, etc....

Why fly somewhere to fish, every thing one could want is here except for salt water FF. Warm saltwater FF on a bone fish/permit flat would get me on a plane

Just America?

I believe that another country may also border on the great lakes and if I not mistaken has quite a few good steelhead rivers as well

GL - Space Image

94,000 square miles water surface
5,500 cubic miles of water
18% of worlds fresh water

All for the salmon and steelhead to roam

This image is looking from the west and does not really show Lake Superior which is the size of the other 4 lakes plus 3 Lake Eries !

God bless america which must have the best fresh water and salt water fishing on earth.

Plus there are thousands of rivers in these states, Wisconsin alone has 2,500 creeks and rivers, etc....
