Swap flies.....that's the ticket!

I just got back from some trout fishing on one of my favorite local streams. I wanted to let Gregg and John know that their swap flies were great. I used Gregg's San Juan Worm as a point fly and put John's PT nymph about six inches behind it. Four browns were caught, one on the worm and three on the nymph.

Nice work guys! I'm sure that my success would have been more limited if either fly had been by itself. The water was high and off color. The red color of the worm got their attention, and if they didn't take that they found the trailing fly tough to pass up.

Makes me want to try the others very soon.
