|artb||Jim, That 10 foot 8 weight was their SLi blank, believe me when I say I have quite a few rods I haven't counted lately, but its about 25. That is my second SLi 10 foot 8 weight, I will never be without one unless they take it off the market. I would suggest though that if you are going to build one, buy the components separately. The best reel seat for the money, that I know of is the Orvis Silver Label $21, The new ones though have a rubber fighting butt. Here I go getting carried away. This rod has a very fine tip, size #4.|

The rods were real nice. That 10' 8wt sure looked like a sweet casting rig. Art was banging out 75'+ casts like nothing and that was hitting the ceiling on the backcast. If I had half a brain I'd of had a camera to get some action shots for the rodrack. Guess I'll have to wait until the casting clave.
Art, was the 8wt the SLI or the FT?

Art B & Cabela's Blanks
Great to see Art B this weekend!
For thos of you that didn't ge tot see them, Art brought along 2 of the rods he'd built.
I was very impressed with the Cablea's SI (?) rod. Love the action & the price is right. Guess what Mrs. Roop is getting for Valentines day? :hehe:
