juro There was a discussion on the area HERE a while ago, also note that member Belize can be contacted by clicking on the little envelop image in that thread (on the left hand side).

Two weeks! Man that sounds good.

Ambergris Caye

I am leaving for Ambergris Caye in two weeks and DEFINITELY plan on finding myself a few bonefish or tarpon while there (maybe even a permit). My only saltwater setup is an 8wt Sage RPLxi rod, Islander reel and Cortland intermediate line. From what I've read about the tarpon and permit, I think I need a bigger stick (maybe an 11 wt?). Anyone have any suggestions?
Also, I've gotten the names of several guides but don't really have any good recommendations. Can anyone recommend someone?

Thanks,
Ross
