jimS Sorry to hear of it's pending demise. Jeff will move on to some other creative endeavor. His flytying is fabulous and his ability to find BFTs is phenomenal. Noticed he's got a new, larger boat for his guiding service.

I also saw that at FFSW earlier this week. Jeff had a great site and a lot of local info and knowlege was passed. But times change, users change and seemingly the interest had dropped off. I know Jeff had been struggeling with the site for a while. Understandable that it is closing....but also sad. It will be missed!

Flyfishing in Saltwaters web site- end of an era

I just saw in one of our sister boards that FFSW is shutting down...if I read it right. Angie and Jeff Smith are not going forward with it and is looking for someone to take over. The main reason , as understood , is participation is down and continues to drop. Jeffs board was very active and , from my view, moved more in the offshore area....but the history is rich ( about 10 years, same as this one) and Jeff continues his guide business as some of you here know. We had a great flytying section and many of the same guys used our site as well as RT. I saw the plan on the FFSW site itself from a post by Jeff.
