Adrian Nice job on the rod Warren.

It will be christened in short order!

And congratulations on the reel - a new Tibor at 1/2 price - perfect

New rod build Just in time for the Clave 2010

Not many posts about rod building here. I build a few now & again. I just completed my latest build, a CTS Affinity-S blank, 9 Wt4 Piece 9 footer. Golden Plumb Color.
I made the grip, used Agate strippers, and over sized snake guides & a big tip top.
The reel seat is a ALPS triangular salt water model that has been around a few years & getting popular.

Now for the kicker, I called my local fishing shop & asked the owner how much a new Everglades was. He told me that he had this used one he would sell me for half the price of a new one. So It did not take me long to get over there. I know the guy who owned it & it never saw salt water. I am not sure it has even been fished. Never the less I am happy about that!
