Jim Miller for a flat bottom dory.....I would guess it would be a simple matter to customize a utility or snowmobile trailer for your use. I've seen teflon slides used to get the dory on & off. A small manual winch would be good for tougher (steeper) launch sites. How heavy is the boat ....500-600 lbs?
Good luck & keep us posted.

ps. If you'd like me to come out to Vail for a fish & ski (and technical advice)
Hmmmmmmmmmmmm. could make that work .... he he he!

Warren Being in the welding business I see lots of trailer plans from time to time. I do not recall seeing plans for drift boat trailers or any boat trailer for that matter. If you cannot locate plans maybe the best thing to do would be go find someone who has one, take some measurements, photo's and make a sketch. Then work from that

But lately I have found I cannot build any trailer for what they sell new ones for, Go figure

Drift boat trailer plans

Hello all,
I have just purchased a used 16' drift boat without a trailer. I would like to avoid purchasing a new trailer if at all possible. Building a trailer is actually the best case scenario. Any information/links to drift boat trailer plans would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks for looking.

Tight lines,
