Millers River Yesterday

With the Connecticut blown out and the Shad out of reach I headed for the Millers River in Royalston. It was a good choice My friend Dan and I landed 8 or 9 nice Browns in the 15 inch class. The water was a little high and off colored but fishable.
We took our fish on sz 6 buggers and bunny leeches. I also missed a number of fish due to the duh factor.
All in all the fishing was good but what made my day was watching a fawn try to get down a steep hillside while mom watched from the bushes, The Fawn was bleating to beat the band. It reminded me of taking my daughter fishing one time and trying to get her across a a shallow stream when she thought the water was to cold.
