Mike Oliver Buy a small bottle of Glyserine from the drug store. But check on a small piece of your fly line to see if it effects coating. You will have to periodically re-apply. Nothing is 100%.once you hit below freezing. If you buiud your own rods consider replacing with bigger guides. This will slow dwon the process of icing up a tad.

Snake Guides icing.

Just curious if anyone had advice on how to keep snake guides from icing up on cold days. Other than not fishing and sitting inside. Thanks.
