San Salvador, Inagua , Mayaguana, Acklins DIY help please ?

Hi there

After a couple of very enjoyable trips to Cat Island this year I have decided to try and visit a number of islands in the Bahamas for an extended 2 month bone-fishing trip next June.

I narrowed down my search to the islands San Salvador , Inagua , Mayaguana and Acklins Islands. They all look like they have some potential for a DIY bonefisher!

Was wondering if anyone could please recommend any budget accomodation guesthouses/hotels for these islands ? It seems that only the expensive lodges advertise on the net. (I am on a bit of a tight budget and are trying to drag my trip out for as long as I can! ). Contacts for car/scooter hire would also be extremely useful ?

I have found some information about these islands on the web but any additional information or first hand accounts regarding the logistics of staying on these islands/ bonefishing would be much appreciated ?

Many thanks for your anticipated help
