I have built probably 25 to 26 graphite rods and I have no idea how many bamboo's. Tonight, I was wrapping the tip of a 4 pc. 3 wt and the graphite just collapsed
My first thought was that the tension was too tight, but, using Pearsalls Naples, the strength of the thread is only about 2 pounds, if even that. Has anyone had this happen or have any ideas what could have caused this?
The graphite just collapsed directly under the snake guide and the break appears to be right at the edge of the thread I was wrapping with.,,,,very wierd to say the least. The blank is a high quality blank, not a second.
