Eddie Oh man, that sounds good! Thanks.
So, what was the destructed reel? What happened?

Roop Not much to it last season. The combination of leaving the brokerage where I was losing money hand over fist and joining a new one + blowing the goodwill & financial fishing budget by mid-season, greatly limited my time in search of big boys.

A few small bluefin on light spin & fly, a few shark on conventional (b@!t) and fly and several blown opportunities in the bay.

One highlight was blowing up an indestrucable fly reel on a large shark - sometimes you gotta let them run.

The season is cleared for this year, some of my friends have access to some sick boats & insane fly gear - it's gonna be one for the personal record books this year as far as fishing opportunities & the learning curve.

You are more then welcome to join me any time you want.
