juro brad -

this map might help you find access for DIY; also consider talking to Ben Iannotta of (our new Keys advisor)

juro As Phil says there has been a lot of discussion worth searching on.

Short version: I would rent a car and explore if you want DIY, otherwise jump on a flats boat with a guide and take some shots.

DIY - explore Islamorada's public access spots around Matecumbe, then down to Pine Key / Bahia Honda State Park area (camping if you call way ahead). Bahia Honda - go mornings and evenings, walk out 100 ft from shore and watch for tails between you and shore. Very exciting stuff, I got an 8# there many moons ago.

Boat rentals at Bud and Mary's among other places. Fresh grilled yellowtail snapper, conch chowder and an authentic key lime pie for dessert.

bonefishmon Go back one page and look for bonefish in the Keys. That will be your best bet for sure. You can also go out to Florida Point on Key Biscayne and walk the beach cast to whatever you see. Bones show up now and then and they are BIG! It's a short drive from downtown Miami over a bridge. You'll want to check out the point for it's sure beauty. Listed as one of the best beaches in the USA.

I am looking for a little help. I'll me in Miami the last week of March and I am looking for some DIY saltwater flyfishing options. I do not care what species and am willing to travel. I will not have a boat which I know limits things a bit. Thanks in advance.

I know a few good spots here in Colorado and am willing to share if that helps.
