Tommy I use one of the old oil cans with the flexable spout ! It only take a miute to heat up and you can aim it right at the featers and not steam your fingers !! you can also use it to clean flies after use

Correcting bent feathers

A common method of straightening feathers to natural forms and curvature is to <b>hold it in the steam of a tea kettle</b>. I've had best results using gentle steam, the geyser is a bit too much for a golden pheasant tippet.
