Didn't mean to boast but yes it was a great time As far as distance goes I am casting an 11' 6" loop blue and heads approx 100 feet altough I am sure a shorter cast would do fine.
Where I was there were tons of jacks (2 year old males) which kept the action very constant. If you were patient and did not retrieve, often an adult would take your fly. Fish in the 7-11 lb range.

Sounds awesome! What kind of distance do you need to get to hook up consistently and are these adult fall fish?
If it's not too much exposure, where would one need to go to experience this fishery (offline replies are cool).
