I am using about the same fly on the Crooked and Deschutes. Some with the bead and some without. Its also been a good fly for me.

NateSmith It is the Tiemco caddis pupa hook size 16. I tie alot of them in 18 too. Anything with a curved shank will do

Dble Haul That looks good, and different from what folks use around here to imitate caddis pupae. What hook sizes are working for you?

Here is an effective caddis pupa or mayfly emerger pattern

head.... tung. bead
body.... chennile (micro for smaller patters)
tie 1/2 of body, get near end with
lighter to get tapered effect
abdo.... caddis green dubbing with brown near head

This fly can be adapted to look mor mayfly-ish or black and tan look good as caddis
