BIG Mistake

Took my lovely bride out for some bass/ panfish fly rodding and it was indeed a big mistake.

Thanks to the efforts of George Roberts & Sheila Hassan's "Womens Intro to Fly Casting" last year, my wife is already a proficient caster. So after we headed out onto the pond late yesterday afternoon, of course enjoying our "picnic" on the way, I stop the dinghy off a little shoal that I know holds plenty of fish. After showing her how to fish the popper, she' taking over the rod.

It took a few minutes for her to work the kinks out of her cast but soon she was shooting line, putting the popper where she wanted it to go & landing fish.

Big mistake. Now I have to diplomatically dance around who goes bass fishing, my wife or one of my two daughters.

A great day fafternoon fishing with my favorite person.
