Brad Dave, that permit was the highlight of the trip and the only permit he caught although he had shots at others. They spotted a big ray coming across the flat with this permit right behind it. Andy put the fly on the ray's back and when it slid off the permit nailed it. He caught 5-6 bones each day and a handful of cuda. No tarpon. It was his first trip into the salt and was not prepared for the wind and need for fast long casts. You might do better if you are used to casting a heavy rod in the wind. He said the lodge was fantastic and his guide, Pops, was great.

good luck

Dave17 Brad,

Is that Turneffe in Belize? I'm heading there in a couple of weeks.
How did he say the rest of the trip went?

Turneff Permit

My buddy just got back from Turneff and this was what he caught. He was thinking of getting a replica made. He looked around and was not happy with the replicas that he could find. Does anyone have a suggestion on the best shop for permit replicas.

Thanks
Brad
