Good to hear from you. I cast this rod back in March at the spring show... what a rocket! Puts the distance advantage into the trout fishing game. It's a nice tool for stillwater from a canoe or float tube.

I just finished building one of my newest additions to my flyrod collection,a Sage 490-4 XP.I took it out to my backyard for a test run ,It cast a whole orvis line easily.
This rod is awesome!!I will be trying it out on the ponds this weekend for trout and maybe salmon.I was very impressed with the power of this 4wt.
