: Peddle Power Pontoons---Cool

Did any of you see these peddle power pontoon boats. Did some checking up on them and they are awsome.
I Contacted them and they said the peddle power it could put out was equal to 65 ft/lbs thrust. These things leave a wake with just moderate peddling. He said they did a 26 mile one day run, just goofing around, and not putting a lot of energy into doing it either! Take a look at these things.

I sure wouldn't go out without my oars! The prop would get knocked pretty fast in most of the rivers I drift. When you go down fairly fast rivers, you are often forced to "straddle" big rocks. My anchor, which hangs out of the water in the middle of the rear platform takes some heavy knocks.
Also, I have gone to a 9' pontoon because it is less difficult to hold a straight line than with 8' pontoons, even on stillwater. I am skeptical that you can hold a straight line with just the prop. I would like to try one though.

I took one out from the place last week, and the thing tracks great and really does move out! The prop itself is how it turns, it swivels! YOu still have to have an oar to meet most water regs, but this can be used on the lakes that say no motors.... this can can move out! Trolling and getting places with a wind were no problem.... They have been giving demos out my way and that is how I got to try one!
