Here's an article I found about the surge in Steelhead's being caught. I know alot of people was a little concerned about the numbers this year.

Winter steelhead fishing has improved in rivers on the Olympic Peninsula.
"After months of minimal fishing results, coastal rivers are finally starting to produce," said Bob Gooding of Olympic Sporting Goods in Forks.

The best rivers have been the Calawah and Soleduck. The Hoh, which has been out of shape, should be fishable by this weekend.

Mostly native fish are being caught, but Gooding also said a late surge of hatchery fish is showing up.

Meanwhile, smelt have returned to the Cowlitz River and some limits are being netted near the Kelso Bridge and Carnival Market.

Sturgeon anglers continue to do well in the Columbia River Gorge.

Fair saltwater results have been reported around Tacoma.
