I happened into an opportunity to rent a large corporate style function room in a hotel complete with rows of tables, screen for projection, pub and bar in the facility, pool and sauna if that rocks your boat, etc.

These are upscale facilities with room for probably 50-60 people and the price gets lower based on the number of attendants.

We could either gang up and get the price down under $10 per head, and buy our own lunch at the pub / restaurant, bring sandwiches, order nearby catering delivery, or just walk down the hall to the pub and have a burger and beer.

Another option is to incorporate lunch, served in the group dining area. This would include the room all day as well as the group lunch mid-day for $25 per person if we get at least 20 people to break even.

There will be presentations, step by step pattern tying with designated tyers, and a free raffle ticket for each paid admission to draw a winner for a collection of one fly from each participant. (everyone hands over a fly and the lucky winner gets the pot)

We would hold this event sometime prior to the start of the area's active fishing season on a weekend after the Seattle Show (Feb 22-23). It is in a hotel on Totten Pond Rd. in Waltham, a stone's throw from the highway.

Could I have a show of hands to see if we should book this room?

I'd be interested.

I couldn't do it April 19th until around 10:30 AM.

I'd be out for March 1st until the afternoon as well.

I'd be interested in either plan (byo or full deal). Would this be on a weekend?

I'll go and bring Lor too, whatever way you go - lunch or cover charge - either way it's a go.

I can do it. Is this a bring your own feathers affair? I don't have much in the way of tying supplies and only a cheapo vise. I haven't bothered to invest- no place to keep it until I build my house later this year.
