Was asked if we are gonna do a March get togather for "industrial fishing " again. I`d be glad to do all I can, if Capt. Ray wants to work out the details. This year we may actually have to break the ice.

A local kayak instructor reckons that February is supposed to be warmer than normal. Can't imagine where she heard this but it could be true - just hard to believe it right now. I'll be up for it whatever, 'though I've not worked out how you're supposed to get a flyline down through one of those holes in the ice yet. I expect Striblue has an invention up his sleeve somewhere ;)

Adrian I think he's been working on a flyline with a heated fillament. It was originally desinged to keep the ice from building up in the guides but I think with a little modification it would work to get the line through the ice.

I gave up the first time I had to chop out a 70 foot ditch, just wasn't worth it!
