I just wanted to get comments from all of you who participated in the last swap. Are there ways to improve the way it worked out, or do you think this is a good format. Did you find it easier than past swap formats and is the theme a good way of doing this.. I am looking for ways to keep improving these across the board.. that is, simplicity, participation, and most important..not painful as to number of flies and timetable...Give it some thought , I am always open to improving things... so...how you guys doing on swap # 2..I have akiller shrimp.

As this is the first fly swap I have participated in, my comments are based on very limited experience. However, I really enjoyed it, and will do it again (and again...) if it continues. I like the theme approach, and think it makes for some very interesting and thoughtful variations, which is a lot of fun. For example, I would never have predicted the variety of Surf Candy interpretations that came out of Swap #1.
Besides, it's a great way to fight the shack nasties!

I thought this format worked very well. I liked the theme idea and the photos and recipes for the flies is great. I'd like to suggest a "Big Fly" swap for the future. Would it help the swap miester if the participants included a buck or 2 to defray the postage costs? Thanks again!

Dave, you would have to meister this one..you can put feelers out... Right now there is the potential for a flatwing swap to run concurently with the shrimp swap.. It might be more workable to begin a big fly swap at the beginning of March along with Part three of the theme swap.. your call though, tell what you think.
