: Method for making a 6+wt. floating clear line?

Since clear floating lines are not, to my knowledge, available in anything over a 6-wt., and I fish primarily a 9-wt., I was thinking that perhaps there's an (expensive) way to make a 9-wt. clear floating line... attaching the belly section through the tip of the 6-wt. floating line to a running line; wondering if this sort of set up will attain the same number of grains as a 9-wt. shooting head. Of course, it would be much nicer if someone would just come up with a 9-wt. clear floating line... easier, too.

Any ideas?

Monic makes one, http://www.monic.com

(I will contact them to suggest a sponsorship request per our policy for direct business links)

Juro,
As per your usual, you've saved me again! I didn't realize that Monic made a clear floating line in that weight. Have you seen or used these lines? I was wondering what the relative degree of clarity of the line is, say compared to the clear Cortland lines.
Thanks!
