I will me in Wilmington, NC (Wrightsville Bch) the end of March and was wondering if anyone is familiar with the fishing in the area?

I will be wading from shore and flyfishing.

Any info is appreciated, thank you in advance for the help.

Happy Holidays.

See if any of these links will help... I was stationed in Sumpter S.C. doring the 70's and I went to Wilmington, NC once. What I remember of it most was, "IT'S WINDY"...

I think it's a little too early. Most guys surf fish (that time of year) for whiting (surf rods and bait).
The bluefish usually start running sometime in mid-April, as I recall. That's the time I am most familiar with - and the surf is still cold (a relative term - upper 50's to low 60's).
It's been a while, but that's how I remember it.
