Since everyone is still interested we should figure out which day is best for a rip trip in July. I prefer saturdays but can't do it this coming sat (7-14-01) due to family obligations up north.

If people are interested in trying for this weekend let me know (I can still do the arrangements).

I will attend the next one after that, probably in late July. We will do trips in August too.

I plan to come up to the Cape this coming week-end. If a Rip Trip is on then count me in - Saturday or Sunday. Otherwise I'll probably head for N. Monomoy.

Let's start off with a Sunday date, that way there is a possibility I can make it too. That's two for July 15th!

Juro.. I am in also.. do you think we should set up 2 or 3 in a row again because of the number of sign ups and the weather uncertainty.???

It's a little early yet but as of now I see no roadblocks for a trip this weekend. Count me in for Sun. July 15 and that makes three.

IMHO - if the date doesn't work we'll reschedule again. The multiday thing was too hard last time.

That's 6 actually...

To be fair, those who signed up will get on the boat in the order he or she signed up and paid the fare.

There are three levels:

1) signed up and paid already
2) signed up before
3) just signed up / just posted / already used their payment

Of all the people who respond, a new list will be made. Those who are status (1) will get first crack, naturally. (2) will get next priority, and (3) will get whatever is left.

At least one chaperone will attend each trip (no newbie only trips).

Any objections to this approach should be made now...

Juro,
Sunday is good for me. I have never been to the Rip and I plan on fixing that problem this year!

It looks as though I am able to do this weekend as well.

I was supposed to go to NH but it looks very shaky right now.

Pete -

Weather reports indicate that Thurs/Fri are the only good days, Sunday looks like low probability but I've asked Rip Ryder for their opinion.

Most likely the anticipated day (Sunday) will not fly unless of course there is a change in the outlook. We'll try to schedule every weekend until mother nature cuts us a break.

You have the option of a refund anytime, just ask.

Weather reports are like opinions...Intellicast looks bad... Accuweather looks great...Go figure?!...
Can't we just pick the one that sounds OK? Or make up our own? I mean it's only LIGHTNING...and...What are the chances it will actually HIT us?
It's not like we would all be standing together waving graphite rods in the air, but if we did, we would certainly make the front page of the Globe and WBZ (film at 11)...Is that so BAD?
(joking joking)
John...I think I may be down Early Sunday...see you right after church?! YAK ATTACK!

To Craig's point, Sunday is starting to look very promising! Keep your fingers crossed.
