Trying to improve on this fly... I have made some changes to this fly..The legs brown grizzly and are closer to allow for two little swimmerettes off the back. The claws are more inward in a defensive position and more uniform. The krystal flash is black and brown gold with more fluff from the end of the partridge feather.

Great looking flies and this "Crab Apple" is awesome looking!
Any chance you can do a quick photo explanation/series of how you are making the carapace? For some reason I am not seeing it properly in my minds eye as you describe it previously...

Matt... I think I could do a short photo series on the Carapace . I think doing the whole fly would be too many photo's...But in 3 or 4 photo's would do the trick for that portion..Will do it this weekend.
