Looks like a good p-bunker inmatation. What is the tail material?

Very nice I bet that would work out here in the great lakes. I have got to learn how to tie those types, one more of winter tying objectives.

it's rabbit strip, not cross cut.

That's a peanut alright! Have you tried putting a piece of silver reflective material inside the body? (like Veverka's Needlefish http://www.saltwaterflies.com/flymuseum.html ) That would give the body some flash and opacity.

I watched Rich tie this fly, and I copied mine just like his, what his fly calls for is Lead Tape on the shank of the hook, its for bouancy I think.
I will try tying Veverka's fly, but they are two differant flies.

Joe - The fly looks great as is. I was just thinking of a possible variation that would increase the amount of flash. Those peanuts are as bright as a new dime!
