: A Humble Plea to the Weather Gods

This is how my last 3 days of fishing have gone:

Two saturdays ago: spent the day casting midges with a 4 wt to rising trout in a sustained 30mph wind. Thank you Isadore.

Last friday: took the day off work only to find that "possible showers" meant "raining sideways" where I was standing. Oh yes, it was windy too. And cold.

Last Sunday: Hired a guide and thought we were in for an epic day until the wind jumped by about 20mph and put the fish down.

The RipTrip is this Saturday.

Weather gods, SHOW ME SOME LOVE:devil:

Guess that's what fall fishin' is all about.

Well spoken, Dave. Since this is my last really big angling event of the season, I'd like to close it with a bang.

I'll be doing my anti-wind dance between tasks here at work. Who cares if I get strange looks? :p

Sure is a lot of flip-flopping with various forcasts. Just have to find the one you like at a given time. If there is fishin penance to pay I sure have been paying it the last 2 months. I've got to be due my just rewards.

Check w/ Capt. Keith but I believe the east wind is not as big of an issue for slipping down the inside. Might be a little sloppy around Stage but I'm sure he will make the right call.

Look at it this way. As long as you can get Keith to take you out there worst case is you {big fish in plymouth} fish the whole outside on the walk back. I've got an idea {big fish in plymouth}for fishing highbank. Wish I was going but {big fish in plymouth}the best I can hope for is a few kayak trips {big fish in plymouth} this weekend.

If I kept listening to those weather reports it would probably be 2005 before I made it down to RI.

Jim I dont know why? but I think there are big fish in plymouth. will be on the water at 3:30

If you can only cast 8 feet and there are 8 foot seas does the fly land on your head?
