There's a rebate at Amazon bringing this down to below $150 with the free shipping!

Another happy customer here.

I now have waypoints from the northeast striper havens, bermuda bonefish spots, olympic peninsula coho ambushes...

Biggest reason to get GPS... SAFETY.

John, thanks for the info on the update. Will download it this weekend. I've got some waypoints you might be interested in, but I'm sure my interest in your waypoints far exceeds the nominal number I have. I'll bring a connection cable next week.

Nick -

That freeware package you directed me to is OUTSTANDING!

Guys, this one's a winner - lets' you download all the waypoints onto a graphical package that you can overlay maps or draw your own stuff including text.

If you have waypoint names like mine... "HOTSPOT" and "HOOYEAH" this software is a must.

Don't forget you can do that also with "MapSource".

The source is also fairly expensive, although it is amazingly powerful. Sometimes Amazon will deals with rebates on the software as well...

I went to put in a waypoint last weekend and found my right mouse stick didn't work anymore. The rubber piece had fallen off a few months after I got it and I never sent it back. It's been wet if not submerged a few times. I've had the unit over a year. So I hit the Garmin site to get the out warranty info. They wanted $100 flat rate to refurb the unit. I called to verify that this would give me another year coverage and they said that they would fix it free of charge. All I have to do is ship it back to them and they'll pick up the return shipping. I'll have it in a week.

I like Garmin:)
