really do love "Willie Guns." He tied some up as hairwing black bodies (look very cool!) and hooked (missed others) two screamers. The second one almost "spooled" him.
Steelhead uncoorperative, although we both missed several fish.

They remind me of a Mickey Finn, but with a black body and black over wing.

Will pull up some old pattern books and look the 'M/F' up and compare the tie. Mike was hot this morning; 4 or 5 casts and he was into his first King.

4-5 casts and a king on, I must have made a 100+ casts on Friday for the "Big Skunk" not even a touch that I could tell a white lie about maybe.:(

in the Willie Gun vs. the M/F. Willie is a black body and also uses 'black' in the hair wing. (Correct me here Malcom) The 'topping is black over a bit of red over a bit of yellow.
Mickey Finn pattern per "google."
Hook: Sizes 2-10, 4X long (Mustad 9575, TMC 300)
RIB: Oval silver tinsel
Body: Flat silver tinsel
Wing: Yellow over red over yellow bucktail (or calf tail)

Body: Black Silk
Rib : Gold Wire
Wing: Yellow Bucktail overlaid with Orange overlaid with Black.
The red in the middle is a varient and interestingly which you might like to try, is to put purple bucktail instead of the orange.
A Fred Gunn perhaps or a Willie Evans.
What about the Ryder Cup then !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
