Great that this is coming together, and many thanks for the efforts to get it organized.

Can any of the Rip Trip veterans make suggestions on gear and flies? It's a long way from Joisey, and I don't want to forget anything.

Let's see...Foreign Legion kepi...desert boots...multiple canteens...

Best regards,

-Doc

I have to back out of that weekend I was betting on the 5th & 6th, but thanks for putting it together anyhow.

I'll be in Waltham 9/30-10/4 and was hoping it would come together for that weekend.

I'll probably get down on the 5th anyway. Pete said he may be around Friday night and I could bunk there.

John, I'm in the same boat. Looks like I got to do familly things that week-end. But I'm good for the 5th as well as Chris if that's o.k. with the soon to be second-in-command at Area 61 ;)

Chris...Adrian...
I should be returning to Area 61 by 1900 on 4 Oct.
There is room in the "VOQ" (Visiting Officers Quarters).
It would help if you can bring a sleeping bag since the maid service has been drastically cut back due to budgetary constraints. BYOB.

Adrian, and Pete,

Sorry to miss you on this trip. Hope you do well the weekend of the 5th.

John (and anybody else),

Suggestions on reasonable places to stay in the area? Budget is an issue, but would prefer not to have a long drive cutting in to what's important...fishing time!

Looking forward to this!

Best regards,

-Doc

Just a couple points...If we can get a group for the 5 or 6th ...let me know ... We can put a trip together for those who can't make the later date...I just could not make it...but I am sure Keith would go...if we can put 12 guys together for the 5th or 6th...Doc ,you can stay at CAC or Pete maybe able to put you up at Yac. Don't worry about that.....

I can make it for the 5th or 6th if the preriptrip is a possibility. The 13th is getting shaky for me, but I can still make the 12th.

John

5th or 6th is good for me too and hopefully Chris and Hon. Penguin since we should all be on the Cape that week-end.

Any more for 5th / 6th - "rally! rally! rally!":D

I'm in for the 11th/12th. The 5th is our anniversary. Wife says she knows what she wants as an anniversary gift and says I look sexy with a tool belt around my waist and a paint brush in my hand. Initially I had visions of chasing her around a motel room au natural except for the tool belt, trying to tickle her with a soft bristle brush. Alas, I think she has something else in mind.

I'm in for the Saturday of the weekend of the 12th. As far as I know, my friend Bert will still be along. If his availability changes, I'll let you know ASAP.

I need to remind you all that I will have to form the list from the original response....We need 12 per trip, one trip per day, so I will start with the Saturday trip... if that works out we can put the alternates on a Sunday trip...If Saturday does not we need to allow that group on the Sunday...

John,

Thanks for your kind offer...I'll e-mail you later for details. Any logistic details that I can help with, either for the Rip Assault Team or for the CAC?

John, I can make either the 12 or 13th. Sounds like the 12th is filled, but am avaiflable as an alternate if you don't have a quorum.

Tks,

Simms
