: Vancouver Island-Humpies

Just got back from Vancouver Island. The Campbell was loaded with Humpies and a few Coho upstream. I managed to land some Humpies but the Coho had lockjaw. Also fished in tidewater where there were tons of Chinook rolling....again lockjaw.

It seems like the Humpies were about the only thing actively taking flies. Although, all that may change with this rain....wish I was still there!

The steelhead were non-existent. I heard the Campbell River summer runs numbers are terribly low...what a shame for such a nice piece of water. Nonetheless, I still had fun catching the humpies.

Thanks for all who supplied advice for my trip. If anyone else is going up there and needs any tips, just let me know.
