The cooling trend of the past week, combined with good tidal ranges (high, but not too high) gave us some good fishing for tailing reds. It seemed that every flat I would check would have a couple fish on it and often quite a few. Got to really see if my new fly works. It does. It's a clippled deer hair crab. I tie it so it looks like it is swimming sideways, tying to move away from the fish. I have seen several blue crabs moving sideways through the grass and watched reds get after them. Cool. I will post some images when I am ready to show it off.
