Thanks, this looks like a second major article on Lake Michigan carp fly fishing on the flats by Dave W. Lefty Krey and Skip Paillot on ESPN last week this must be the new fresh water FF challenge.
Maybe time to start up a lake michigan carp fly fishing guiding service. Heck I am 30 minutes max from the lake front.
Just have to find the right shallows in my area to do this type of sight fishing. I think I know the spot. Have to do some exploring there when I am not chasing steelhead.
They are there, have seen them and caught my biggest carp accidentally while fishing for steelhead 15 years ago in Lake M.
20-25 LBer. One very strong fish.
An untouched lake michigan fishery along with I am sure the other great lakes and most other north american waters.
