Can anyone help me out with the Salisbury Beach area?

I know the Merrimac (sp?) river is right there, is that river mouth accessible?

Hi Craig,
Salisbury beach reservation - it's a state run thing and has access to both the river & ocean (fee involved).

PI is just across the channel and has it's own lot and can be a small hike.

If you want more beachfront stuff then you can park at lot (fee involved) and walk out to the public beach area. Haven't done much of that. Hampton harbor is just up the road too.

email me for my phone & I can give more/better info. If you're open to company, my sched is fairly open.

The Salisbury State Reservation has a boat ramp, and shore fishing along the river and ocean.

Across the river, just over the Gillis Bridge is Newburyport and again, great shore fishing at the river (Plum Island Point) and beaches. (Front Beach, Parker River NWR) Also, flats fishing at Joppa Flats. (although that's been a bit slow)

There is a public boat ramp at Cashman Park in Newburyport.

Email me if I you want any more info.
