Found out there are some quirks with Netscape... please let me know which browser you use.

I tried to use Netscape when I first got my computer (1998) and I didn't like it. It also changed my file type assignments for my bmp and jpg files, which kind of ticked me off. I switched back to IE and have been using it ever since.

I prefer Netscape but am not happy with the latest versions of any browser I've used lately. It must be the curmudgenous text based commands side of me coming through. :hehe:

I've had some problems with Java applets in NS 6.x IE seems to work fine.

I am so anti-Microsoft that I try not to use Internet Explorer as a matter of principle. Sometimes, though, the only way I can deal with a site is to go in with Explorer. It's all part of the Gatesian conspiracy.

Cheers,

Eric

First time I opened the site after the server change was in Netscape. A thread in the kayak forum exploded into a patchwork of about 6 boxes. Quit, came back in IE with no problems.

for the life of me I cannot understand any of the anti MS mindset. IE and outlook express are free. They may not be tha greatest programs but for most people they work fine. if you don't want to use them, uninstall them. Or just leave them installed but don't use them. Don't worry about how much space or memory they are taking, it's so cheap now it doesn't matter anymore. BG did at least "standardize" the desktop, even if he had to twist a few arms to do it. I don't see big brother comming down on apple for not making their OS code available.

OS code is readily availble in the new unix based OSX macintosh desktop software. I do not care about the netscape IE debate but need to stick up for us mac users.:p

I can't post with Netscape 4.7 on one computer and on the other, I can't post with Explorer. Weird. The ones that I can't post with(it doesn't seem to remember that I have registered) don't have the Writers Guild on top, but the World Wide Forum.

Sean, when I post, I have to reregister(I am given a list of reasons why I am not authorized to post), and when I register, It sais "No thread specified..." Thanks for your help, Eddie

Turns out our new server saves statistics on browser types. Internet Explorer outnumbers the others with roughly 90% of the clicks.

Thanks for participating!
