: "Tough" weekend on the Merrimack/Joppa

Mostly ridiculously small twinkies on Joppa.
Mooched a couple of boat rides for slightly better fish.
Mainly used chartreuse/white and olive/white clousers.
Did get a couple of fish around 24" on kinky fiber flies.
Even got "kidnapped" off of Joppa while wading, Monday morning.
Wanna see something ugly? Try watching a guy in waders crawl into a tin skiff in waist deep water! He he!
Thanks for the boat trip, Mr. Weir.
Did ya do any better after dropping me off (due to "parental duties")?

Worked my tail off for fish in rip waters on the Joppa flood. Boy it was dead (in spite of the reports of great catched the day before).
Great to have you aboard Doug. You didn't have a sinking line but you still caught more fish on the long wand. We're.....proud of you...sniffle.

I've never worked so hard for a couple handfulls of very small fish. The front beach was even tougher than the river! It was FAC but there was decent surf, I think due to that Bermuda storm that is now well offshore. My arms & legs are still sore! Hate to say it, but the few decent fish we saw landed were taken on bait fished Deep. Go North (?) young man ????
