Got the word from Jenks - here's the deal...

Since there is a conflict with Mother's Day (12th) and Memorial Day for the peak worm hatch moon phases, we will take what we can get on May 18th.

Venue -

Early bird: Rhody coastline at dawn, escorted by knowledgable folks from the area or Point Judith or South County.

Mid-day: Convene at Saltwater Edge in beautiful downtown Newport for tying, instruction, and presentations of worm hatch strategy as well as lunch with Peter Jenkins and pro-staff.

Evening: worm hatch fishing in Rhody's bays and estuaries - put the flies and knowledge to work!

Options: Stay over and fish the next day, or move west to Westerly and hit all the hotspots from Napatree to Quonny to Ninigret to...

PLEASE RESPOND HERE IF YOU ARE SURE YOU CAN ATTEND to give us an idea of the planning numbers...

Let me know if I can do anything to help organize.

I guess it is Rhody and not the Cape that weekend.

Yes Sean, indeed it will be RI that weekend.

It remains to be seen where I will fish on Sunday though!

Sean, I look forward to fishing with you that weekend. We can tie up a few patterns throughout the day too if we have time.

You're just dining in Newport like some wan-a bee socialite. What about the fishing John? Get your candy arse down on the beach. My son busted two 10 lbs bass today (Sunday) They were in a school of small manhaden in the upper bay open water. Looked like a Saltwater Edge reunion with half their guide there. Rhody is shaping up with some sizable fish.

But I was going to stop in at the Breakers for a cocktail.. then to the tennis hall of fame. Will the sandwiches at Saltwater Edge have the crust removed? I will have rod in trunk .. But No waders Ray.... no waders. ( I will have a complementary Zukatron Fish finder for you)

I'm in, trying to get my brother to join us. I'll let you know !
:( OOOPS! Check that, I'm in a casting clinic that day, and unless something changes I wont be able to make it. I'll keep you posted, I really wanted to make this one, especially after all the great support Peter and the crew at The Edge have given to CCA-Ma.
