What's good? What's bad?

What do I need to know?

Thanks,

The Foodsaver is AMAZING. I bought mine in Seattle 12-15 years ago and it's still crankin away.

If you fillet some fish and seal the bag, you can throw the bags into a cooler of half-melted ice water and not ruin the meat.

If you get the vaccum top jars you can marinade meats in a couple of minutes while the grill gets hot.

Great way to seal up emergency stuff for the kayak or boat.

IMHO get the ones where you can control the vaccuum separately from the seal. That way you can use the free hand to squeeze out visible air pockets locked behind what you have in the bag before you seal it.
