: Anyone want to go fishing
03-25-2002, 02:57 PM
.....in about 3 weeks? :D
Boy things are quiet. Seems every other day I look at my boat sitting upside down on my blocked, tireless, trailor. Thinkin, one of these weekends and el flipo. Mount the wheels with their new bearings and race, put the new motor on...
I figure in about 3 weeks I'll be fishin. Could get the fresh water bug too to hold me over though. Anyone want to bushwack a mile for a shot at either natives or stocker brookies? Given the last couple of dry seasons, I doubt the wild populations survived. I haven't been out to this place in over 10 years.

I ready to go. If you would like to travel west to my area, I live within thirty minutes or less of the Millers River, Falls River, Green River, Deerfield River, and Mill River. Althouogh I'm not much of a trout fisherman I'm game for a try. Also there are nurmerous brooks around if that is your preferance. Depending on the weather there may e smallies also available. Let me know what you think and we'll make plans. Anyone else interested? Don't be shy, chime in!

Lefty - I got the time, the inclination and the where-with-all
email me and we can hook up.
I'm in Waltham but I grew up on the North Shore and know the usual suspects.

I have a TON of stuff going on, including the need to do my taxes this weekend. But, I may be able to pull myself away for a few hours if your talking someplace (semi) local. Oops, need to pick up my freshwater License, add that to the List!

At least you can now get the license online!!

As Johnny Carson used to say "I did not know that!"
I'll probably just get it on my next Walmart Run!

o.k - so when are we gonna go trout fishing?

don't know about the rest of you, but hopefully in a few weeks when the hendricksons start popping!

This rain sure is encouraging. I like about 3 weeks from now also. I sure hope my access to this spot is not a neighborhood of trophy homes by now. It's been 10 years. If so, there is some other trouting nearby. Talking, 7' 4 wt. for this endeavor. Small day pack with rolled up waders stuffed inside for the bushwack. Compass a must.
Have to move this discussion to the trout board.
Also there are some warm water spots in Rhodey that I hear turn on early.

How about Lexington reservoir or Walden at lunch some work day?
03-27-2002, 12:46 PM
Ya man! It's stocked already too (according to the state website). I'm real close to it. Maybe this year we can evan get Juro to bring a rod:razz:
I found last year that having your rod lined already saves 10 minutes. Crucial on a lunch hour stint.

Name the day I'm about 20 minutes away.

I'd love to join you. Living in the same town as you, we can easily carpool. I am headed out Friday to do some trout fish'in.
Lexington Res works for me... maybe even this week. Walden is a little tougher, parking is locked at night.
